Talent Acquisition Co-ordinator

Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

As our Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting recruitment and onboarding across both our hospitals and National Support Office. From posting job adverts and managing requisitions to coordinating background checks, contracts, and onboarding documents, you’ll ensure a smooth process for candidates and hiring managers alike. You’ll be the go-to person for managing our recruitment system, responding to queries, and providing regular recruitment reporting, while also working closely with Payroll, Digital Services, and the wider People & Culture team to deliver a seamless new starter experience.

This role goes beyond recruitment administration—you’ll help shape a positive candidate journey, support induction programmes, track immigration compliance, and stay on top of visa requirements across the network. With your organisation, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities, you’ll help us deliver an efficient, compliant, and engaging recruitment process that reflects Southern Cross Healthcare’s values and brand. In this role you will deliver with precision and speed – ensure every recruitment task is completed accurately and on time, meeting agreed SLAs while keeping the hiring process smooth, efficient, and candidate-friendly.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • A solid foundation – at least 2 years’ experience in HR support, administration, or a similar role, with the drive to build a rewarding career in People & Culture.
  • An eye for detail and a knack for organisation – you’ll keep processes running smoothly, manage competing priorities with ease, and ensure every step of the candidate journey is seamless.
  • People skills that make a difference – excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders at every level.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset – you take initiative, solve problems effectively, and adapt quickly as priorities shift.
  • Team spirit and collaboration – you thrive in a team environment, contributing positively and supporting your colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Confidentiality and integrity – you understand the importance of handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Tech confidence – strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a willingness to learn new systems; experience with recruitment tracking software is a bonus.
  • A head start in learning and growth – a bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field is preferred, but more importantly, you bring curiosity, initiative, and the ambition to grow within our supportive People & Culture team.
