Based in beautiful Whanganui Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation who offers a range of health and wellbeing services for whānau in the Whanganui region and surrounding districts.
Te Puawai Whānau service is underpinned by a Whānau Ora approach that places children and their whānau at the centre of all that we do. Our aim is to enhance the parenting journey for all whānau with a commitment to value our relationship and connections, supporting whānau aspirations.
About you:
Tamariki Ora nursing requires a special set of skills with no day ever the same. Pēpi (babies) and their Whānau are placed at the centre of everything we do with 85 % of our visits in their home.
We are seeking a registered nurse who is self-motivated, demonstrates a strong sense of initiative, taking charge and managing your workload efficiently. You will have a proactive attitude and be able to approach challenges with creativity and innovation to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard, even in the face of challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing quality Tamariki Ora services utilising a Whānau Ora approach to improve health outcomes for whānau.
• Providing quality health surveillance, clinical assessment and social support in a timely manner, working to the National Well Child/Tamariki Ora Programme Practitioner Handbook Guidelines.
We have a great team culture, with a team of experienced health professionals striving to deliver optimal health outcomes for our whānau. We work closely with our services within Te Oranganui and the wider community including GP services and Health NZ, Whanganui.
