Our focus is to provide quality education to the children in our community and we are excited to be involved in research around children's Oral language and Self-regulation- Kia Timata Pai. This research involves around 1,600 BestStart pre-schoolers!

About the Role: 

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher or an experienced educator, if you have a passion for teaching young children, we want to hear from you.

We have 2 fixed term positions available covering maternity leave.

1) Fixed term position from 3rd June 2024 until 9th December working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.

2) Fixed term position from 8th July 2024 until 27th January 2025 working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.  


Role requirements: 

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following: 

· B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification 

· Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning 

· Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard 

· A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices 

· Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
