Lecturer Sport and Exercise Science

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Lecturer to join our School of Health and Sport Science based in Hawke's Bay. This exciting opportunity will see you contribute to high-quality teaching, research, and industry engagement across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes while supporting student success and academic excellence.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $89,000 and $95,000, dependent on skills and experience.
The Lecturer is based in our School of Health and Sport Science reporting to the Head of School and will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Supervising Master's research projects and supporting postgraduate research capability.
- Contributing to curriculum design, programme development, and enhancement at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Undertaking and publishing research, with a particular focus on mixed methodologies and qualitative research approaches.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry, iwi, community groups, and professional stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have:
- A PhD in Sport Science, Health Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in mixed methodological research, including qualitative research approaches.
- Experience in postgraduate teaching and/or supervision.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational, and planning skills.
- A commitment to culturally responsive teaching, equity, inclusion, and student success.
