Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management
Are you ready to lead and drive strategic decisions at a pillar and enterprise level? FMG is looking for an experienced Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management to join our Strategy and Enablement team.
This role is based in either Palmerston North or Wellington and reports directly to the Chief Strategy and Enablement Officer.
Role Purpose
The Head of Enterprise Portfolio Management role is to ensure that FMG delivers its strategic priorities. This involves driving the design of strategic decisions through working with senior stakeholders, the Quarterly Business Prioritisation (QBP) forum and ensuring effective enterprise risk management through the Enterprise Portfolio Management Committee (EPMC).
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and influence Senior Leaders to ensure the portfolio delivers to FMG Strategic road map meeting agreed business objectives
- Ensure effective management of the strategic priorities ensuring effective value delivery and risk management
- Develop organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for investment appraisals. Lead activities to establish consistent appraisal across component projects and programmes within a portfolio
- Influence stakeholder attitudes, decisions, and actions for mutual benefit
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Full Project, Programme and Product management experience
- Strong Leadership and mentorship experience
- Excellent interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Excellent planning and communication skills – both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others, clearly articulate ideas/concepts and effectively present to others.
- An agile mindset – adaptable to change, collaboration and continuous delivery of business and customer value
