We are looking for a dedicated Financial & Logistics Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in driving the financial success of our business. 

 What you will do:

  • Oversee all financial operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across the business.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s growth goals.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to provide insights and recommendations for business improvements.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support financial decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Drive cost management initiatives while maintaining the high quality and standards of our outdoor brands.

a. Financial Management:

  • Ensure all purchasing requirements are met from a financial, stock and business perspective.
  • Review of purchasing and operational costs for improvement of Business Profitability.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure stock accuracy is achieved.
  • Review of buy-plans with Brand Managers to optimize sales opportunities and Cashflow management.

b. Financial Reporting & Forecasting:

  • Prepare annual Forecasts which include templates for: Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet / Cashflow / Purchases & stock shipments / Sales / CapEx / Opex.
  • Reporting for the following: Bank convenance / Updated forecasts & Bank audits.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts which include templates for: Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet / Accounts payable trial balance / Accounts receivable trial balance and Supplier Purchasing requirements.
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Year End Financial Reports for Consolidation.

c. Cashflow:

  • Financial planning of cashflow requirements including maintenance of daily cashflow report, debt collection and payment of creditors.
  • Manage various bank facilities.

Plus other financial requirements like GST returns, managing international creditors & FX.

d. Logistics:  

  • Managing procurement and whole supply chain for different international brands. 
  • Demand Forecasting and purchasing bulk season products, in collaboration with Brand Managers.
  • Entering and receipting POs and allocating freight and customs costs
  • Prepare and process Stock Takes.

e. Shipping:

  • Shipping products from worldwide at the right time and cost efficiently to meet customer delivery dates in NZ and Australia.
  • Ensure Import requirements & regulations are met.
  • Export to Australia and ensure shipping requirements are met.
  • Review and negotiate freight costs for optimising Company profit.
  • Processing and approving freight / and customs invoices and duty draw back for export shipments to Australia if required.

Skills & Experience

  Job Skills 

  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience with proven experience in financial management.
  • Bachelor of Business or similar would be an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, with a solid understanding of Excel and accounting systems.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to multi-task
  • Previous experience in accounting, forecasting and management is essential
  • Previous experience in logistics and shipping would be ideal.
