About the Job

We are continuing to grow our business and need your help.

  • Provide general and marine engineering, welding and structural fabrication expertise in both in our Vickerman Street workshop and out on client sites. 
  • Use your skills, knowledge, and abilities to manage diverse on-the-job challenges, both individually and as part of a small team. 
  • You will be a role model who can be relied upon to support the team to keep things on track and deliver high quality work. 
  • You will also be given the chance to contribute your ideas and have genuine input into improving the way things are done. 

About you 

Ideally you are trade qualified in a relevant mechanical engineering field, and able to demonstrate top quality practical skills and abilities. Alternatively, you will be able to point to a minimum of 5 years or more professional level hands on experience. 

Other skills and experience include:

  • Solid experience gained welding and fabricating, including in a marine environment, would be extremely beneficial.
  • Excellent knowledge of a range of welding methodologies - Flux Certificate an advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Exposure to boiler making would be an advantage.

Particular about how things are done, with a real drive to achieve high quality, precision outputs, you are motivated by a pride in your work and ownership of it.
