Ahu Whenua - Forestry Supervisor
In this hands-on role, you will (in collaboration with the Ahu Whenua - Forestry Manager) coordinate daily tasks, ensure high standards of health and safety, and oversee silvicultural activities including pruning, planting, spraying, and chainsaw operations. You'll work closely with a technical Focus Lead and a team of kaimahi to deliver work programmes that support sustainable land development and forestry maintenance and establishment.
This role suits someone with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep commitment to safe and high-quality forestry practices. Experience in chainsaw use, H&S compliance, and team coordination is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Daily supervision and task planning
- Health & safety compliance and site risk management
