McKay is NZ’s largest privately family-owned electrical engineering and contracting company with over 400 employees and multiple branches through-out New Zealand. 

Due to huge growth in the business we need to extend our finance team.  Reporting to the Financial Services Manager, and based in Whangarei, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator. This is a permanent part-time position, 20 hours per week. You will be responsible for the accounting and administrative tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of company accounts payable transactions.  This includes but is not limited to the timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of all invoices received and to support the payment of creditors in a timely manner. 

To be successful in this role you will be experienced in this field with a good understanding of accounts procedures and accounting software packages (Netsuite or similar cloud based ERP system would be desirable but not essential).  A certificate/diploma in accounting and finance would be a significant advantage.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and authorisation prior to entering into the system

· Set up invoices for electronic payment.

· Reconcile vendor statements, investigate, and correct discrepancies.

· Processing of Credit Card Transactions

· Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

· Respond to vendor inquiries.

· Assist with other projects as required.
