Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role
We seek an experienced, passionate and motivated educator who creates outstanding learning experiences for our ākonga (learners). As a Lecturer you will ensure quality education development and delivery of English Language programmes. You will be teaching in a classroom setting to adult learners from different cultures and backgrounds.
Ko wai koe | About you
You will be a passionate and motivated educator with excellent organisational skills, a flexible approach, and an empathy with different cultures and languages including refugee backgrounds.
To be successful in this role you will have:
§ Broad experience and demonstrated ability in teaching English language to adults, including general English and English for academic purposes, at a range of levels from 3-4 is essential
§ Recent experience in teaching in the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (NZCEL) programmes is desirable
§ Recent experience in NZCEL programme and course design, including assessment, is desirable
§ Experience using a wide range of models and frameworks to incorporate into your practice.
§ Experience with community agencies to develop and continue networks and links to enhance our learner’s experience
