Niagara Sawmilling Company Ltd
Lumber & Wood

Niagara is a proud, family-owned New Zealand business specialising in high-quality timber products. With manufacturing based in Invercargill and distribution centres in Kennington and Cambridge, we have built a reputation for exceptional service, reliability, and quality across New Zealand.

Our values are at the heart of everything we do. We work as a team, act with integrity, and strive for excellence in the way we support our customers, our communities, and each other.

We are looking for a motivated and dependable Dispatch Team Member to join our Cambridge Distribution Centre. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in doing a job well, and want to be part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

As part of our dispatch team, you will play a key role in ensuring our products are accurately prepared and delivered to customers on time.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Picking and packaging customer orders for dispatch
  • Restocking racks with timber products, including weatherboards and mouldings
  • Assisting with truck unloading and goods receipting as required
  • Printing and processing dispatch documentation
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient workplace
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to meet customer expectations

For the right person, there is also an opportunity to gain administration experience and provide backup support to the Site Operations Manager.

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking individual who takes pride in delivering quality work and contributing positively to a team environment. The successful candidate will be reliable, proactive, and eager to learn, with excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to working safely. You will be a good communicator who enjoys collaborating with others and takes ownership of your responsibilities. Experience within the timber, building products, warehousing, or distribution industries would be advantageous; however, it is not essential, as we are willing to provide training and development opportunities for the right person.

Forklift experience is highly valued. However, for the right candidate, Niagara is willing to provide forklift licensing and training opportunities.

This is a rare and rewarding opportunity, offering both job security and genuine career development. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, with additional overtime hours available during peak periods.

Join a supportive and down-to-earth team where loyalty and hard work are recognised and rewarded. You will benefit from  training and development opportunities, and the opportunity to gain forklift licensing and training for the right candidate. If you are looking for long-term stability, a positive team culture, work-life balance and the chance to build your career, this could be the perfect role for you!

At Niagara, our people are our greatest asset. We believe in supporting each other through challenges, celebrating successes, communicating honestly, and continuously improving the way we work.

If you're looking for a role where your contribution is valued and where you can build a long-term career with a respected New Zealand company, we would love to hear from you.
