Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role 

The Administrator is a key member of our team providing outstanding service to our kaimahi (staff) and ākonga (learners) in our Capable NZ team.

As an Administrator, your primary responsibilities will be frontline support including answering ākonga (learner) enquiries and varied administration including academic processes support ensuring the work completed is customer-centred to enable an outstanding learning experience.  This is a varied, satisfying office administration role where you’ll be part of a successful team who support each other in a busy environment.

Our preferred candidates will be highly organised, detail-focussed, pro-active and committed administrators who have highly developed interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, a positive and productive team attitude including the drive to be a highly functioning member of our teams. They will have outstanding relationship-building skills which are customer-centred.

Excellent skills in word processing, and competency with spreadsheet and database use is essential, as are multitasking skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage time effectively along with an active commitment to ensuring that timely services of the highest quality are consistently provided. It would be an advantage if you have minute taking skills and experience.

A relevant qualification at degree level or equivalent experience is essential.  It would be an advantage if  you have academic knowledge at tertiary level. 

An understanding of cultural diversity and the ability to work with a variety of customers is preferred along with familiarity with the tertiary education sector.
