We are looking for a Whānau Ora Navigator to join our dedicated team. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with whānau in the community, guiding them to identify and reach their goals.

About Us:
We are a whānau-focused, Iwi-mandated kaupapa Māori health and social services organisation with over 39 years of experience supporting our whānau and community. Our values—Kotahitanga, Whakamana, Kaitiakitanga, and Whanaungatanga—are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role:
Whānau Ora is a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, focusing on the entire whānau rather than just individuals. It aims to empower whanau to achieve their own goals and improve their overall quality of life through integrated services that address health, education, and social needs. This framework is grounded in Māori culture and values, promoting self-determination and collective responsibility.

This role is a permanent full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

As a Whānau Ora Navigator, you will join an awesome team committed to transformational mahi. You’ll establish rapport with whānau from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to harness their strengths and connections. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being a welcoming presence for whānau entering our service
  • Addressing their immediate needs and sourcing solutions
  • Collaborating with them to plan pathways toward their future goals
  • Facilitating warm handovers to colleagues and community services
  • Following up to ensure needs are met and goals achieved

We’re Looking For Candidates Who Have:

  • A relevant qualification  or at least 2 years of experience in community-based social services
  • Knowledge of Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and Whānau Ora
  • A full, current Driver’s license
  • A  can-do attitude and enthusiasm
  • Excellent rapport and relationship-building skills
