The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Kahu Taurima team.

Kahu Taurima, which specialises in providing quality hauora outcomes for pēpi, Tamariki and whānau from maternity through to the first 2000 days. This position will also be responsible for delivery of the Well Child Tamariki Ora service provided by Raukawa.

Based from the South Waikato, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse with health nursing (Well Child) expertise to work in a community setting. Being a critical thinker, a team player, you’ll be ready to embark on a new journey aimed at achieving real change and making a difference to the lives of New Zealand children, families and whanau.

In order to be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A current NZ Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate
  • 3 – 5 years in Well Child Tamariki Ora, Plunket, Community or relevant experience
  • An understanding of Māori models of health and the application of the Treaty of Waitangi in practice
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to build strong professional relationships with client's, staff and stakeholders
  • The ability to work in a busy, challenging environment
