We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Warehouse Supervisor to help oversee our warehouse operations at Bidfood in Queenstown. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in warehouse supervision and will be responsible for ensuring that all warehouse activities, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and staff coordination, are performed efficiently and in compliance with health and safety standards. The Warehouse Supervisor will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the seamless movement of products from our warehouse to our customers while maintaining a high standard of service and operational excellence.  The roster will either be Tuesday to Saturday. 6am start time and approximately 8-hour shifts. A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed and maximum of 60 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Warehouse Operations: Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of food products.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory tracking, ensure proper stock levels, and assist in managing stock rotation. Perform regular stock checks and ensure accuracy of all stock records.
  • Team Leadership & Staff Supervision: Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Delegate tasks, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to operational standards.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing of orders to customers. 
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all warehouse activities comply with food safety standards and local health regulations. Promote a safe working environment.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving warehouse processes, workflows, and overall efficiency. 

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or foodservice environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to food safety and quality standards.
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
