Warehouse Storeperson

Here at Bidfood Nelson we seek a dynamic, fast thinking, quick acting, well organised experienced warehousing and/or logistics star who wants to do best by our customers whilst doing best by their career! Warehouse Storeperson (Freezer, Chiller, Drystore) has daily interactions with inwards drivers, purchasing team and other corner of the business, having a sound foundation in Warehousing can open up doors to other opportunities, not just regionally, but nationally.

The ideal applicant will be able to react to the ever changing environment and ensure there is a strong focus on Health and Safety at all times. You will be motivated with an ability to work autonomously as well as in a team to ensure daily goals are achieved. The role is diverse and requires a focus on detail and procedures as it’s the first step to ensuring our market leading customer service levels are maintained. 

Forklift experience and competency is required with high foot traffic within the working environment. The role is physically demanding with regular and repetitive lifting required a high fitness level coupled with the ability to adapt in an often fast paced environment ensuring service levels are not only met but exceeded. The right applicant will possess very strong time management skill and have a strong understanding of customer service priding themselves on there interaction with customers. Strong organised  skill are essential. The opportunity for career advancement is available should it be desired and proven. 

The hours are Monday to Friday 6.00 am to 2.30pm. Total of 40 hours per week. Extra hours may be required for training and stock take purposes as well as busy period times.
