Port Nelson Ltd (PNL) is the maritime gateway for the Nelson Marlborough region – a vital hub for economic activity and a key stakeholder in the region’s continued growth and prosperity. QuayConnect is Port Nelson’s 4PL supply chain solutions business focusing on the wine industry, particularly moving Marlborough wine for export through Nelson. This innovative supply chain and distribution model has redefined connectivity between producers, suppliers, and customers. 

QuayConnect is undergoing continued growth and has an amazing opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join their Nelson team.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager QuayConnect, this permanent full-time position will have a mix of leadership and operational responsibility for the QuayConnect warehousing operations. You will provide strong leadership to an experienced team across two shifts, and drive operational efficiencies while overseeing all operating costs to enhance business performance. Customer service focus and stakeholder management are key requirements for this role, as is the ability to develop and drive safety improvement initiatives for QuayConnect. 

About you

You will have an extensive background and knowledge in warehousing, preferably in a 3PL warehousing and distribution environment, with a proven track record of values based leadership. Effective communication skills will come naturally to you, as will a passion for delivering exceptional service. You will have strong business acumen, be self-motivated, innovative, highly organised and possess enthusiasm and drive to thrive in a fast-paced and exciting role.
