Warehouse Freezer Supervisor
We are seeking a Warehouse Freezer Supervisor to lead our daytime freezer operations. This role is responsible for overseeing staff, stock and inwards and outwards goods, while ensuring safety, food quality and operational standards are consistently met. The hours of work are:
- Mon - Fri 05:00 - 14:30
- Saturday - Rostered
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the inwards and despatch of frozen goods ensuring accurate receipting, checking, labelling, storage and temperature control (-18°C)
- Maintain accurate stock levels in collaboration with the Stock Controller, ensure FIFO rotation, manage stock, complete weekly checks and assist with stocktakes.
- Supervise freezer staff, support on-the-job training and performance management.
- Ensure daily maintenance checks are completed on all equipment
- Uphold all Health & Safety and Food Control Plan (HACCP) obligations, ensuring all products are labelled and stored correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe freezer and warehouse environment
- Assist in other warehouse areas when required
What We’re Looking For:
- Natural leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
- A reliable team player with a strong “let’s get it done” attitude
- Previous warehouse experience is an advantage (training provided if required)
- Have previous forklift/reach experience and hold a current licence
- Ability to work in freezing temperatures (down to -25°C)
- Physically fit, able to lift up to 25kg
- Strong judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
