Warehouse Team Member – Summer Contract (Potential for Permanent Role)

Bidfood Christchurch has a great opportunity for permanent positions within our warehouse team, based at our Islington distribution centre.
We’re looking for an experienced Warehouse All-Rounder to join our team for a six-month period over the busy Summer season. This role offers the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent position, with opportunities for career growth within our business.
We’re seeking strong, reliable, and motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of a dynamic, supportive team.
Position Details
- Fixed Term - 6 Month Contract
- Roster: Monday to Friday, plus every second Saturday
- Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar hands-on role
- A strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure
- Full Class 1 licence
What You’ll Be Doing
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Loading trucks as required
- Occasionally going out on delivery trucks as a runner to assist drivers with deliveries
- Working efficiently to ensure accuracy and timely dispatch

Requirements
- Able to provide work references
- Must agree to a Ministry of Justice background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
