Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne is an organisation that cares for a 225-ha world class ecosanctuary in Wellington, New Zealand. We have a 500-year vision to restore a unique forested valley and inspire people to live differently with nature. Our work is powered by an incredible community of more than 500 volunteers who support everything we do - from conservation and education to visitor experience and research.
We’re on the search for a Volunteer Development Coordinator to join our People, Capability and Culture (PCC) team. This is a people-centred, hands-on role that sits at the heart of our organisation - supporting, enabling and strengthening Zealandia’s volunteer community.
You’ll lead the coordination, development and continuous improvement of our volunteer programme, working closely with staff, convenors, Lead Rangers and volunteers across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, relational, values-driven, and passionate about creating meaningful volunteer experiences that align with our kaupapa.
This is a permanent part-time role (24 hours per week, Monday–Thursday) based at Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne in Karori.
