Visitor Service Advisor (x3) 9-day fortnight

Mō te tūranga: About the role
We have three permanent 9-day fortnight Visitor Service Advisor roles – all with one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) off per fortnight.
· X2 roles: 9 am- 3:30 pm
· X1 role: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
These roles welcome all visitors to Te Nukuao Wellington Zoo, ensuring they are set up for a fantastic visit, helping create excitement, and providing the information they need to have a wonderful time. They are the welcoming face of the Zoo and farewell visitors after their visit, reinforcing the Zoo’s value of manaakitanga. These are active roles; you will be on your feet all day, thriving on the variety.
Visitor Service Advisors also promote and sell our Zoo products, including Close Encounters, Zoo Venues, Zoo Crew memberships and retail products. There may also be some work with online and phone bookings and sales.
You may also be given the opportunity to help with occasional evening events during the week, if you wish to.

- Experience with direct customer service, preferably in a retail environment
- Comfortable selling products and services
- Known to have a friendly and approachable attitude
- A quick learner and a confident problem-solver
- Level-headed and calm under pressure
- A natural at communicating in person, over the phone and via email
- Takes a team player approach
- Self- motivated with a focus on getting things done well
- Computer literate and confident with technology
