This role plays an important part in helping our team make informed vineyard management decisions by providing accurate and timely data relating to vineyard health, nutrition, crop estimation, operational quality, sustainability initiatives, and vineyard trials.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and recording vineyard health, pest, disease, nutrition, and crop development data
  • Completing crop estimation and yield forecasting activities
  • Coordinating and undertaking sampling programmes, including petiole, leaf, soil, and fruit sampling

  • Working closely with vineyard managers to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

  • A background or interest in viticulture, horticulture, agriculture, science, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent observation and analytical skills
  • Confidence working with spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools
  • The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A current driver's licence

Experience in vineyard monitoring, crop estimation, vineyard sampling, or data analysis would be highly regarded but is not essential for the right candidate.

What We Offer

  • Part-time hours (25-32 hours per week)
  • A generous wine allowance
  • Southern Cross health insurance
  • A varied role combining field work and office-based analysis
  • The opportunity to contribute to vineyard performance and fruit quality outcomes
  • An experienced team who you can learn a lot from
  • The chance to be involved in continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability initiatives

If you enjoy working with data, have a keen eye for detail, want to be out in the vineyard a lot, and want to make a meaningful contribution to vineyard operations, we'd love to hear from you
