Vickery -Fixed Term - Casual - Kitchen Hand

Join our friendly and hardworking kitchen team at Vickery Court, where you'll play an important part in helping provide nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents.
As a Kitchen Hand, you'll support the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen by assisting with food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This is a hands-on role that suits someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes.
We have casual and fixed term positions, offering flexibility and variety. Shifts may be rostered between 5.30am and 10.00pm, seven days a week, and you will be based at Vickery Court, North Road.
No previous kitchen experience is required, we're looking for reliable team players with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities:
As our kitchen hand or kitchen assistant you will be responsible for:
- Washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maintaining a tidy kitchen
- Preparing ingredients and assisting with meal preparation and service.
- Working collaboratively with cooks and kitchen staff to provide an excellent dining experience for residents
- Contributing to a positive team culture while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen
- Following food safety and hygiene standards to ensure safe food handling practices
