Ready for a role where you can help people make the right vehicle even better and be part of a dealership that’s seriously on the move? The Bridgestone Tyre Centre at South Canterbury Toyota is growing fast — and we need an enthusiastic Tyre Technician to join our team full-time and help us continue that momentum.
Phase One of our building and expansion project is creating a purpose-built Bridgestone Tyre Centre. You’ll be joining our experienced team at the time as you move into our brand new, state-of-the-art tyre facility, supplying a great range of tyres to some of the best vehicles in South Canterbury.

What the role involves:

- Tyre Services: Dismounting, mounting, balancing, and repairing tyres for cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Inspections: Assessing tyre tread levels, wear patterns, and valve quality to recommend appropriate services.
- Wheel Alignment: Using specialised equipment to align wheels and ensure safe vehicle handling.
- Customer Service: Advising customers on suitable tyre choices and explaining necessary repairs.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintaining a clean workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and managing inventory.
What we’re looking for

- Good physical fitness. This role involves heavy lifting and practical, hands-on learning;
- A driven personality, willing to set a high standard of workmanship and take pride in tasks done;
- Have a clean criminal record, as police vetting is required;
- A clean driver’s license and an ability to drive manuals is essential;
- A team player who’s keen to be part of a growing, supportive environment;
Why join us?
- Be part of a family-owned dealership with strong values and genuine community connection;
- Join a high-performing, supportive team with clear direction and exciting growth;
- We’re making an impact in the community, donating nearly $30,000 this year to different charities and organisations;
- Be part of our exceptional track-record, including the 2017 Toyota New Vehicle Excellence Cup and Service Excellence award, the 2018 Toyota Used Vehicle Excellence Cup, 2019 Store of the Year Award, 2020 Parts & Accessories Excellence Cup, 2020 Toyota Supreme Award, 2021 Service Excellence Award, 2023 Service Excellence Award (3-peat), plus the President’s Trophy in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2024 and 2025!
- A competitive remuneration package, including training and development;
