About our role

The Tyre Technician position will see you work Monday to Friday at our newly established and admired workshop in Hamilton, where we specialise in vehicles out of warranty of all makes and models. We are a one-stop automotive center with the latest equipment for tyres and alignments, windscreen replacement, mechanical repairs, and warrant of fitness.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Sell and fit tyres for passenger and light commercial vehicles, including wheels and aftermarket accessories. Undertake wheel alignment inspections and adjustments.
• Assisting other staff as required and looking for additional sales, such as warrant of fitness, overdue servicing, wheel alignment, suspension damage or wear etc.
• Assisting with all stock control, checking and maintaining stock levels, maintaining stock in a clean and tidy, organised fashion, and assisting with supplies. 
• Consistently contribute to attaining all Dealership Parts & Service Targets

Skills & Experience

• A current clean full NZ Driver's Licence.
• Motivation to learn and work
• A passion for the automotive industry, with an understanding of basic vehicle mechanics.
• Experience in an automotive tertiary education course would be to your advantage however, it is not required.
• Strong and fit, this role requires a fair amount of heavy lifting.
• Currently living in New Zealand and/or holding a valid work visa.
• Friendly communicator with good English language skills and a high level of personal integrity.
