Our Skills for Living for Supported Learners team is seeking a caring and motivated Classroom Assistant to support adult ākonga with special education needs.
Working alongside the tutor, you will help with day‑to‑day classroom activities, provide individual learning support, and assist with supervision during off‑campus outings.
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about empowering learners to build independence, confidence, and life skills.
In this role, you will support the tutor with daily classroom activities while assisting ākonga with their individual learning tasks, ensuring each student feels guided and confident in their progress. You will also provide supervision during off‑campus activities, helping to create safe and enjoyable learning experiences beyond the classroom. A key part of the role is maintaining an inclusive, positive environment where all learners feel valued, and building strong, supportive relationships with both students and the wider team.
