About the Role

The role of the Technology Lead- Modern Workplace will involve technical ownership and leadership with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, technology enablement and reducing risk. The role collaborates seamlessly with other teams in Technology Services to deliver a high level of customer service to both internal and external partners.

Who are you?

You will have demonstrated experience to lead, coach and support teams to drive performance and technological excellence, that ensured the supportability, scalability and security of TSB's Modern Workplace platforms, systems, and services.

You will evidence the ability to develop a modern workplace strategy and have the skills to effectively investigate modern workplace IT solutions available to meet both technical and business needs.

You will be required to provide an architectural viewpoint, advise and make recommendations on enterprise architecture strategies, processes, and methodologies to support the Bank in delivering its long-term strategy. This will include investigating architectural options to strengthen arguments for their adoption. 

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Eliminate single points of failure to minimise operational risks. 
  • Improve SLA performance to ensure Modern Workplace Systems, Processes, Tools and Roles are appropriate for your agreed service level objectives. 
  • Adapt TSB Technology’s ways of working to maintain a highly functional modern workplace capability.
  • Manage existing and new vendor relationships.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need: 

  • 10+ years’ experience in diverse ICT technical and people management roles.
  • Proven engineering experience in Microsoft technologies and virtual environments, including Entra ID, Intune and Core Microsoft domain services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, KMS RDS, NPS etc.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of architecture principles.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
