About the Role -
This role is responsible for leading the delivery and ongoing operation of key technology products that enable FMG’s people to work effectively every day. As a member of the Technology and Security Operations leadership team, the Technology Lead acts as the Technology Product Owner for end user and workplace technologies, including laptops, mobile devices, meeting room technology, networks, and connectivity services.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external delivery partners, this role ensures FMG’s core technology infrastructure is reliable, secure, fit for purpose, and aligned to strategic and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Technology Product Owner for end user devices, meeting room technology, and network services, ensuring they are current, reliable, and fit for purpose.
- Develop and maintain the Technology Roadmap as part of the Digital and Data Annual Business Plan, including upgrade and refresh cycles.
- Contribute to the development of FMG’s Technology Strategy in collaboration with Technology and Architecture leaders.
- Work closely with Service Operations and third party providers to ensure high quality, end-to-end technology services and consistent user experiences.
- Provide input into third party service arrangements and oversee service quality and performance.
- Collaborate with Procurement and delivery partners to support office technology requirements, including moves, adds, and changes.
- Support financial management activities including cost estimates, budget planning, and invoice management within approved tolerances.
- Ensure appropriate quality assurance, risk management, and health and safety practices are in place across technology services.
About You:
- Experienced in leading and managing modern workplace and infrastructure technologies, including end user devices, networks, and meeting room technology.
- Strong understanding of technology service delivery, third party vendor management, and operational quality assurance.
- Comfortable owning technology roadmaps and contributing to strategic planning.
- Commercially aware, with experience supporting budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
- Able to balance operational delivery with longer term strategic thinking in a complex environment.
