The purpose of this job is to support the Academic Staff delivering the Bachelor of Nursing Te Tohu Paetahi Tapuhi by effectively co-ordinating simulated learning experiences, clinical skill development and supporting in the science lab. This role will also support the Health and Foundation programmes across both Windermere and Mokoia Campuses therefore, travel will be required. 

The Technician will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of equipment, providing technical support, ordering and restocking supplies and environmental safety of the Science/Clinical Laboratories/Simulation Units.

Required Experience & Qualifications:  

  • Experience in a science/technical and or simulation role
  • Experience in nursing and or health assistant role 
  • First Aid Certificate
  • A current driver’s license
  • Work in a team and excellent communication skills
  • High Fidelity Simulation Training
  • Excellent IT skills, quick to learn and can independently review and master new programmes and applications
