Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

We are looking for a Team Manager to lead kaimahi and to manage programmes across music, performing arts and postgrad in the School of Media Arts.  

The appointing salary for this role will be between $108,400 and $135,400, dependent on skills and experience.

The Team Manager role is based in our School of Media Arts reporting to the Group Director and will be responsible for:  

  • Effectively leading kaimahi to ensure an engaged, high performing and flexible team; 
  • Delivering successful ākonga outcomes by providing leadership and management in teaching quality, research and effective programme management; 
  • Effectively managing budgets, quality and risk within areas of responsibility; and
  • Successfully building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong management skills and proven leadership and coaching ability;
  • Experience working in the tertiary education sector;
  • Industry experience and productive relationships within music and performing arts fields;
  • A postgraduate qualification and an understanding of postgraduate study approaches and requirements;
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student-centred teaching and learning, and be supportive of research; and 
  • Excellent professional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships.
