Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

The Team Manager, Legal Support is responsible for leading the delivery of legal support services to legal counsel to ensure the quality of the services provided and drive initiatives to continually improve service delivery as well as driving efficiencies and standardisation where possible. This role will build strong relationships with Legal Team Managers and will work in partnership with other Team Managers to ensure efficient and effective legal support is provided to legal groups. This role will be operational at times but will also work closely with the Director, Legal Operations to drive the continuous improvement and financial sustainability of the newly established branch.

Ōu Āhuatanga Ake | Personal Attributes

The ideal appointee will have the following skills, qualities, and experience:

  • A proven people leader in an operational environment, particularly in a business support environment
  • Experience designing and/or implementing improvement initiatives (experience implementing standardisation projects or business/process improvement in a support environment is desirable)
  • Strong relationship management skills, particularly working with business stakeholders
  • A proven communicator with strong written and oral language skills
  • Strong motivation for enhancing performance through connecting and engaging with staff
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant business discipline is desirable, or the equivalent professional experience.

Location: Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington

This role is Wellington based and located next to Wellington bus and train station.

  • A starting salary range of between $94,591 and $118,015 with further room to progress. The appointing salary will be based on skills and experience;
