Team Leader - Dry Store Department
Take the lead in our Warehouse Dry Store Department! In this role you'll manage day-to-day operations and carry out additional responsibilities as directed by Management.
Hours are: (Will be discussed at interview)
Tuesday - Saturday 6.30am – 4pm
Key responsibilities:
· Manage stock efficiently, ensuring stock is rotated using the First In, First Out (FIFO) principle.
· Replenish pick faces to meet WMS stock level requirements.
· Report stock discrepancies and ensure returned and damaged stock is processed and staged correctly within the WMS.
· Assist with stocktakes, stock investigations, and the management of short-dated and expired stock.
· Receive, scan, label, and process incoming goods in accordance with WMS procedures, ensuring all stock is receipted accurately and on time.
· Complete regular checks to ensure inward goods are scanned correctly and bulk pallets are wrapped, labelled, and stored in line with WMS protocols.
· Monitor warehouse equipment and facilities, ensuring daily forklift inspections are completed and any damaged equipment, racking, or pallets are reported promptly.
· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
· Follow all Health & Safety policies, report hazards, incidents, injuries, and near misses, and work safely at all times.
· Comply with Food Safety requirements and follow Bidfood's Food Control Plan (FCP) and WMS processes.
What we are looking for:
· Strong organisational skills and ability to keep stock areas tidy and well managed
· Ability to follow processes and maintain records
· A proactive attitude with the ability to identify and resolve problems
· Commitment to workplace health and safety and proper equipment use
· MPI Accredited Person qualification is preferred but not essential, provided you are willing to obtain it
· Previous experience using a WMS is an advantage; however, it is not essential
· Forklift/reach licence or willingness to obtain one
