Teaching and Learning Coach
Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role
The role provides capability development to support the transformation of teaching and learning in line with Wintec’s strategic goals, contributes to Faculty-specific culture and capability change strategies, and provides guidance on ako teaching and learning practice. It also contributes specialist capability development expertise to cross-functional workgroups supporting the development and renewal of programmes in alignment with Ako: Teaching and Learning Directions.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $90,800 and $113,500 per annum (IEA remuneration band 6), dependent on skills and experience.
The Teaching & Learning Coach is based in our Teaching & Learning Office, reporting to the Teaching & Learning Manager.
The role is committed to continuous professional development and improvement in teaching and learning practice, maintaining currency with contemporary methodologies, approaches and technologies. It models Wintec’s cultural capability and pastoral care frameworks, engages with relevant professional and community networks, and contributes to enhancing Wintec’s reputation nationally and internationally.
He kōrero mōu| About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- New Zealand Certificate in Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) or equivalent;
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant field of study.
Experience working in the education sector, including coaching academic staff to improve teaching practice and ākonga outcomes, developing capability through culturally responsive approaches, and supporting programme development. Strong knowledge of assessment and moderation, reflective practice and learning technologies such as Moodle and Teams, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively and resolve issues to achieve agreed outcomes.
