About the Role
We're looking for a bright, bubbly, and fun Teacher in Training who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.
You will primarily work alongside our 2-3 year old tamariki, while also feeling confident supporting across all age groups when needed. You will:
- Be currently studying towards a Level 7 ECE qualification and ideally be in your second year of training
- Have previous experience working in an ECE setting
- Feel confident building positive relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
- Be passionate about supporting children's social and emotional development
- Enjoy creating engaging learning stories and meaningful curriculum documentation
- Value whanaungatanga, manaakitanga, and ako in your daily practice
- Bring fresh ideas, a warm personality, and plenty of positive energy to our team
This is a permanent role, working 32-40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.

- Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor's degree
- Understanding of child-led learning and curriculum planning
- Knowledge of Te Whāriki and current ECE regulations
- Strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
- Passion for teaching, learning, and delivering high-quality outcomes for children
