BestStart Wainoni Road sits in the heart of the Wainoni community and caters for children aged 3 months to 6 years old. We are a stable, loving, safe haven in the community where all children, families and cultures are accepted and celebrated. We understand that within our community every family has their own unique needs, we aim to provide connections and support where needed to ensure all children and families feel they are catered to.
About the Role:
If you have a passion for teaching young children and are currently enrolled to study in a level 7 ECE programme (ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma), we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 30-35 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
We are ideally seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd or 3rd Year Teacher in Training to join either our Nursery or Prep Room Teams. Both teams are well established and offer a fabulous opportunity to gain valuable practical experience while being coached and mentored by knowledgeable ECE educators.
We have four separate classrooms catering specifically to the different age groups and their developmental needs, ensuring all tamariki feel challenged in an environment that is safe for them to explore to reach their next milestone. Our outdoor environments truly stand out for their generous size.

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
