Mo te tunga I About the Role:
BestStart Stokes Valley is seeking a passionate and motivated Teacher in Training (1st,2nd or 3rd Year) to join our established and tight-knit 2-5 year old Team. Our focus is using our passion for teaching to provide quality education to the children in our community.
This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, between 730am – 6pm, Monday-Friday.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- a growth mindset and be open to receiving constructive feedback
- an ability to use their initiative
- a collaborative team approach
Role requirements:
- Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
