Located in the heart of the Burnside community, our centre is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education and creating meaningful learning experiences for every child.

We are seeking a first- or second-year Teacher in Training to join our Mahuri Room, working primarily with our 3–5-year-old tamariki. This is an exciting opportunity to learn alongside experienced teachers in an environment that values play-based learning, strong relationships, and school readiness.

About the Role

If you are currently studying towards a Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor) and have a genuine passion for working with young children, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

In our Mahuri Room, children are encouraged to explore their interests, curiosities, and imaginations through rich, play-based experiences. Our teaching team actively supports children's learning journeys, helping them make sense of their world through exploration, communication, and creative expression.

Our preschool environment features a large natural outdoor space that promotes physical development, discovery, and adventure. Alongside our play-based curriculum, we offer a robust Set for School programme, supporting children to develop the emotional resilience, critical thinking, independence, and social skills that help ensure a confident transition to primary school.
