BestStart Riccarton is on the lookout for a passionate and motivated Teacher-in-Training to join our Preschool Room (Kowhai Room). If you're currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor or Graduate Diploma) and eager to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, high-quality centre—this could be your ideal next step.
Located in the heart of Riccarton, our spacious two-building centre boasts vibrant, well-resourced indoor and outdoor learning spaces that encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration. Our experienced, tight-knit team works collaboratively to create a warm and engaging environment where tamariki thrive and kaiako are supported to grow.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is actively enrolled in a Level 7 ECE qualification
- Has a passion for child-led, play-based learning
- Is eager to contribute ideas and learn alongside experienced kaiako
- Understands ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and bicultural practices
This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9.00am – 3.30pm).
