We’re looking for a passionate Teacher in Training to join our supportive team in a permanent role (30–40 hours per week, Monday to Friday). This is an exciting chance to grow your teaching practice while completing your studies, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative, high-quality ECE setting.
About the Role
As a Teacher in Training, you’ll work alongside experienced kaiako to support the learning and development of our tamariki. You’ll play an active role in creating meaningful learning experiences, contributing to planning and assessment, and helping to build a centre culture grounded in belonging, curiosity, and growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma programme
- Passionate about child-led learning and curriculum development
- Knowledgeable in Te Whāriki and ECE regulations
- Committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn
- A genuine advocate for teaching, learning, and positive relationships
