Where learning is fun, relationships matter, and future teachers grow

Are you starting your first year of a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma and looking for a centre that will truly support you on your journey? At BestStart Prestons, we LOVE helping new teachers grow. With three Teachers‑in‑Training already on our team, we’re well‑versed in providing guidance, encouragement, and hands‑on learning every day.

Why BestStart Prestons?

Our centre is all about FUN, connection, and community. Tamariki learn best when they feel happy, valued, and free to explore—and that’s exactly what we create here. We’re proud of our strong whānau partnerships and the joyful, play‑rich environment we offer.

Our land has a rich history as a place where kai was grown and shared, and we honour that legacy by teaching our tamariki to respect and learn from the natural world around them. We’re also well known in the Prestons community for our traditions, like Halloween cupcakes and our famous Gnome Hunts!
