BestStart Prestons is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher in Training to join our close-knit, energetic team. Our mission is to provide quality education that supports and nurtures our local community.
At BestStart Prestons, we believe in learning through play. Our vision, "Where Learning is FUN," extends not only to tamariki but also to our Kaiako. As part of our team, you will receive support throughout your study journey, working alongside experienced Kaiako in a positive and encouraging environment. About the Role
If you have a passion for early childhood education and are currently in your first year of a Level 7 ECE Bachelor’s programme, we would love to hear from you. This is a permanent, part-time role working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of young learners and thrives in a team dedicated to excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
- Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor’s programme and be in the first year of study
- A strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending children's learning
- Knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and a high regard for compliance
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and dedication for teaching and learning, with a focus on delivering high-quality education
