BestStart Marshland Road is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher in Training to join our close-knit, energetic team. We’re committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and care to the infants and toddlers in our community.
This is a fixed-term opportunity, covering parental leave from August 2025 to September 2026, working 24 hours across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please note that we are unable to accommodate school hours, so flexibility with shifts is essential.
We are looking for a motivated and creative individual who takes initiative and is eager to grow their skills while working alongside experienced, qualified teachers. This role is ideal for someone studying towards a Level 7 ECE qualification (Bachelor’s or Graduate Diploma) who is ready to contribute meaningfully while being supported on their pathway to qualification.

What We’re Looking For:
- Enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma programme
- Enthusiastic about working with infants and toddlers in a collaborative team
- A strong understanding of child-led curriculum and Te Whāriki
- Commitment to high compliance and quality standards in ECE
- Passion for Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its integration into practice
- Creativity, initiative, and a genuine love of early learning
