About the Role:
We’re excited to welcome a passionate and motivated Teacher-in-Training to our Infants team at BestStart Great North Road.  This opportunity is ideal for someone who is currently studying toward their ECE qualification and is keen to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and high-quality early learning environment.

We are looking for a Teacher-in-Training who is enthusiastic, eager to learn, and excited to grow their skills and confidence in a fun, nurturing, and engaging environment. Permanent | Part-time (18 hours/week)
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday | 6 hours per day (8:30am–3:00pm or 9:00am–3:30pm)

What we’re looking for:
We want someone committed to making a difference in the lives of young learners and contributing to a team focused on excellence. You’ll need:

  • Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma
  • Understanding of a child-led curriculum and the ability to extend children’s learning
  • Knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and a strong commitment to compliance
  • A genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practices
  • Passion for teaching and delivering quality learning experiences
