About the Role:
BestStart Bremner Road is looking for a passionate and motivated Teacher in Training to join our supportive and energetic team.
We are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education in a warm, welcoming environment where tamariki, whānau, and kaiako feel valued and connected. Our curriculum celebrates each child's identity, culture, and home language, creating a strong sense of belonging for every learner.
As a Teacher in Training, you'll work alongside experienced kaiako, supporting children's learning and development while building your teaching practice in a collaborative environment.

This is a permanent position working 20 hours per week. (10am - 2pm)

Role Requirements:
We are looking for someone who is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of tamariki and enjoys working as part of a team dedicated to excellence.
You will ideally have:
- Enrolment in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor of Teaching
- A good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending children’s learning
- Knowledge of Te Whāriki and current ECE regulations, with a strong focus on compliance
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive pedagogical practices
- Passion, enthusiasm, and dedication to quality teaching and learning
