About the Role:  

BestStart Botany Rd is seeking a motivated Teacher-in-Training to join our team. Located near Botany Town Centre, we’ve been part of the community for over 20 years, fostering strong whānau connections and meaningful relationships with families.

We’re looking for someone with great communication skills, initiative, and knowledge of Learning Stories and Individual Development Plans. Experience with children is essential, and working with diverse needs is a bonus but not required.

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week Monday-Friday

Role requirements:

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:

  • Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
  • A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
