BestStart Aidanfield is looking for a passionate Teacher in Training to join our welcoming whānau. We’re a small, friendly centre located beside a beautiful park where tamariki love to explore. With long-standing Kaiako who value teamwork and whanaungatanga, we foster independence, resilience, and curiosity, helping every child (and teacher) thrive.
About the role:
- Permanent, 30 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
- Rotating roster: 7am–6pm
- Based in our Preschool Room (2+ years) – a space where tamariki explore, discover, and build strong relationships
- Work alongside experienced Kaiako and whānau to inspire confidence and a lifelong love of learning
- Open to those currently studying or planning to begin Level 7 ECE study in 2026

What we’re looking for:
- Enrolled (or planning to enrol for 2026) in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor
- A love for child-led learning and quality teaching
- Understanding of Te Whāriki and ECE regulations
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in everyday practice
- A team player full of enthusiasm, energy, and curiosity
