About us:

Based in beautiful Whanganui Te Oranganui is a kaupapa Māori organisation who offers a range of health and wellbeing services for whānau in the Whanganui region and surrounding districts. 

Te Waipuna Health is the General Practice arm with an enrolled population of 5,300 spread across two Practices. As a low-cost access health and wellbeing centre, we offer a newly refurbished Practice in a supportive and flexible environment.  

About the role:

Te Oranganui is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care, assessment and guidance to deliver optimal health outcomes for our whānau in both our Whanganui and Waverley clinics.   You will be a part of a passionate team who provides holistic care, forming trusted long-term relationships with patients and their whānau.  

 As a registered nurse, you will demonstrate the ability to work autonomously in delivery evidence based clinical support, as well as being able to work within a team setting of skilled nurses and GP's, Kaiāwhina, an experienced administration team with support from the Leadership Team and a dedicated Kaihautū (Service Manager).  

The successful candidate will ensure they met the New Zealand Nursing Council competencies. and uphold the tikanga and values of Te Oranganui Trust: Kotahitanga, Whanaungatanga, Tika and Pono.


 About you:

The successful applicant will have great communication skills and time management; the ideal applicant will also have the following:

  • Ability to deliver a Whānau Ora model of care within your scope of practice
  • Evidence of embedding Te Oranganui's values into practice
  • Registered Nurse +2 years experience  
  • Has worked in Primary Health Care previously. 
  • Experience with MedTech Evolution preferred however can provide training.
  • Provides high level of nursing care.
