About the role

Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs) is looking for a detail-oriented team player with an interest in sustainability to join the Private Wealth Research (PWR) team as a Sustainability Associate.  Based in our Head Office in central Tauranga, this full-time permanent role would suit someone who is looking to start out their career in financial services or with 1 – 2 years of relevant experience on board.

The PWR team coordinates and delivers all aspects of the firm’s investment views for its private clients, as well as sustainability views.  Our research covers listed equity securities in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe and North America, fixed income, currencies, portfolio strategy, economics and corporate actions.

The Sustainability Associate helps develop, maintain and continually improve the sustainability framework Craigs uses to assess companies and securities from an environmental, social and governance perspective.  This includes engaging with companies, as well as working with our Investment Advisers (and with some clients on a direct basis) to ensure portfolios are aligned with client values.  Reporting to the Senior Sustainability Analyst, the role also supports the other members within the PWR team, particularly in relation to the funds we research.

PWR is a high-profile area of the Craigs business and as such, this role requires a high standard of written and oral communication, sustainability knowledge and analytical ability.
