This is a community-based role, where you’ll assist people living in their own homes. We are looking for energetic and motivated people who are well connected in the community, with a variety of personal interests, skills and life experiences to join our team.

• Pay rates from $23.50 to $29.10 (dependent on your qualifications).

What will you do?

• Providing personalised support to people both at home and within the community.
• Assisting people with their life admin and overcoming barriers to being more independent. 
• Facilitating participation in a variety of activities and interests.
• Providing a positive presence in peoples lives offering encouragement, motivation and consistency.
• Contribute to our team and work in collaboration with others involved in the lives of the people we support.
• Maintain accurate and up to date records and contribute to the development of people’s plans.
• Supporting people to become more independent with meal preparation, household management and personal cares.

• A great communicator, patient and calm – and can build trusting relationships.
• Fit and able, and ready to engage actively with individuals in supporting their needs.
• Confident to work in and with community groups and networks while being a role model for people you support. 
• Able to work on a fortnightly roster including weekends and evenings.
• Have a full New Zealand Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle is required (mileage will be reimbursed).
