About the Role:
We have a casual Support Worker opportunity in our Vocational Team based in Palmerston North.
You will support people to reach their goals and get involved in their community. Our team works creatively to remove barriers and build a space where everyone feels part of a community. We work in partnership with the people we support to build friendships, explore opportunities and participate in the wider community.
Hours of Work: This is a casual position, working as and when required between Monday and Friday.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
- A Passion for People: A patient, friendly and kind approach, with the ability to understand, communicate and connect with people.
- Empathy and Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
- Teamwork: A professional, honest and reliable approach, with a flexible mindset.
- Practical Skills: The ability to provide personal care, including showering and dressing.
- Driver Licence: A full NZ driver licence is essential, as driving a MASH van will be part of your role.
- Previous Experience: Support Worker experience is preferred.
